The Wisconsin Senate passed 10 bills today
from the Wisconsin Sporting Freedom package, sweeping legislation that would
protect the rights of hunters and anglers and expand outdoor opportunities

Michigan Knife Rights Act passed
Knife Law Preemption is a Knife Rights'
criminal justice reform effort that nullifies existing ordinances and prevents
new local ordinances more restrictive than state law which only serve to
confuse or entrap law-abiding citizens traveling within or through the state.
Preemption ensures citizens can expect consistent enforcement of state knife
laws everywhere within a state. The bill now goes to Governor Whitmer. See more

Nebraska Commission approves free-earned Landowner Elk Permit Program
In the program, a person who owns or leases
at least 80 acres of farm- or ranchland for agricultural purposes qualifies for
an either-sex elk permit following the verification of 10 general antlerless
elk harvests; immediate family members are eligible for the permit. Read more

Make your Nebraska duck hunts even more fun with the Duck Slam
To earn the Slam, you'll need to harvest a
teal (blue-winged or green-winged) of either sex, as well as drakes of three
other species: an American wigeon, a mallard and a northern pintail. All ducks
must be harvested in Nebraska, and hunters must upload a photo of each harvest

Nebraska mountain lion lottery application period is November 1 – December 8
Permits are available only to Nebraska residents, who may have one permit per calendar year. The bag limit for each permit is one mountain lion of either sex. Learn more

Williams to serve as Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever Regional Representative
Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever have
hired Aaron Williams to serve as regional field representative in eastern
Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Williams will oversee 35 Pheasants Forever and
